Lutherans believe that God instituted two Holy Sacraments-- Baptism and Holy Communion. We believe that God earnestly offers the blessings of forgiveness of sins and eternal salvation to all who receive these Sacraments. We also believe that God works in us to accept these blessings and to increase our understanding and faith.
Confirmation is a tradition in the Lutheran Church, by which a baptized Christian makes a personal and public affirmation of faith. We believe that Confirmation requires the maturity to understand and discuss doctrine and to engage in a serious, year-long study of the teachings of Martin Luther.
